Every year, 2K Sports releases the most recent edition of NBA 2K, adding new features to enhance the game and address many fan complaints from previous iterations. This season, 2K releases more versions than before, with five choices to select between and both electronic and physical editions. There are many versions available for gamers to choose from.
Standard Edition
The base game is added in NBA 2K23's Standard Edition. Although this version is the least expensive, anyone hoping to advance quickly in the MyCareer or MyTEAM game modes will be dissatisfied. On $59.99, the Standard Edition is available for PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC. The PS5 and Xbox Series X/S editions are $10 higher at $69.99.
Dreamer Edition and WNBA Edition
Only the PS5 and Xbox Series X are compatible with GameStop's special Dreamer and WNBA Editions of NBA 2K23. The WNBA Edition is the same price as the next-generation Standard Edition at $69.99, but it offers players additional benefits. The Sue Bird and Diana Taurasi jerseys that customers purchase can be worn in both MyCareer and The W modes. Although this particular edition is officially sold out, copies might still be available for fans to purchase on the secondary resale market.
The Dreamer Edition is still unavailable, and 2K Sports hasn't made any disclosures on what benefits would be included. Fans know that J. Cole will be on the cover of this edition. Thus it may become a well-liked collectible in the future. The Dreamer Edition's cost is also a mystery at this time.
Michael Jordan Edition
Although it is not the most expensive version, the Michael Jordan Edition offers the best value for gamers seeking the initial enhanced benefits. 2K offers buyers of this edition 100,000 Virtual Currency for $99.99 on any platform, physical or digital, which can be utilized in any game mode.
The MJ Edition also includes a Free Agent Option Pack, a Diamond Jordan Shoe, a Ruby Coach Card Park, a Ruby Michael Jordan Card, and a Sapphire Devin Booker Card, in addition to 10,000 MyTEAM points, 23 MyTEAM Promo Packs, a Ruby Michael Jordan Card, and 10 MyTEAM Tokens.
A lot of boosts are available in this version for players who want to improve their personalized player. Players who purchase the MJ Edition receive 10 boosts for each in-game skill type, four t-shirts featuring each of the NBA 2K23 MT cover stars,10 boosts for each Gatorade Boost type, an exclusive backpack, a two-hour Double XP Coin, an exclusive arm sleeve, and a skateboard with a custom design of the cover stars to navigate The City.
Championship Edition
The Championship Edition is NBA 2K23's complete version. This edition is expensive but offers a lot of value because it is designed for gamers who are also real-life NBA fans. The Championship Edition, which costs $149.99, has all the benefits of the Michael Jordan Edition in addition to a lifelong 10% XP increase on both MyTEAM and MyCareer growth and a go-kart decorated in the likeness of Michael Jordan for speedy travel throughout The City in MyCareer mode. The largest benefit, though, is unrelated to the game. Customers also receive a 12-month NBA League Pass membership, allowing them to watch every NBA game in real life for a full year.
Deluxe Digital Edition
The Digital Deluxe Edition is the greatest choice for gamers who still own an older console. The Michael Jordan Edition's benefits are included in this version without the 100,000 Virtual Currency. However, the Digital Deluxe Edition offers free upgrades from Xbox One to Xbox Series X/S or PS4 to PS5. With all the goodies, it is only $10 more expensive than the Standard Edition at $79.99.
